Exploring botanicals, texture and layers

Working out of my home studio in San Francisco, California, I create monotypes and linocut prints using an etching press, as well as mixed media and acrylic paintings. In printmaking, I explore the delicate textures and patterns in the plants and flowers growing in my backyard. In mixed media and acrylics, I layer paint and collage, and use various tools to scrape back to reveal the textures and history of a piece. In all of my work, I am reveling in color.
